New engine changes for 2012 include a new connecting-rod material and design matched to a new piston with a DLC coated gudgeon pin, new crankcases featuring a revised oil gallery and distribution system for oil supply to the new con-rod and piston assemblies, revised ECU settings, new gearbox selector forks and revised selector barrel assembly. Other changes include new fork setting and a new shock absorber option, revised exhaust system, new headlight assembly and new speedometer unit.

TM Racing 'Factory' rear shock absorber, Marzocchi 50mm forks, billet machined aluminium hubs laced to anodised Excel rims, billet machined aluminium triple clamps with oversize taper handlebars, oversize 'wave' braking discs and HGS 'bomb' exhaust system, EU compliant to road use laws.

Engine, single cylinder water cooled 4 stroke, twin camshafts driving 4 independent finger followers operating titanium valves, dry sump with twin rotor oil pump for recovery and distribution, Electronic fuel injection with 44mm throttle body, billet connecting rod with forged piston, electric starter with conventional kick.
